How to mount a Google Cloud Storage bucket as a drive in Ubuntu 15.10 wily using FUSE

Install gcloud

Install gcfuse

curl https://packages.cloud.google.com/apt/doc/apt-key.gpg | sudo apt-key add -

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install gcsfuse

sudo usermod -a -G fuse $USER
exit

 

Use

mkdir google-cloud
gcsfuse <my-bucket> google-cloud

Create Unity menu launcher

apt-get install alacart

alacart

Unmount

fusermount -u google-cloud
